I went to the Dark Web and regretted it right away.
It was an excellent example of how curiosity takes us down a rather unusual route sometimes. Through pure curiosity and the innate desire to explore that mysterious part of the internet most seem to ignore, I ventured into the dark web. Nothing would prepare me for the encounter that lay ahead. I had heard countless tales about its dark recesses, full of everything from illicit commodities to underground forums.
An unsettling feeling crept in as I continued my way through labyrinths of websites and linkages. My initial excitement soon faded away with unsettling information that seemed to conflict with ideas about freedom and anonymity. The screen was filled with debates and images that advocated crime, violence, and exploitation; this was in sharp contrast to the surface web creative and open places.
