One Minute That Ended My 10-Year Marriage

The Time
This was a typical Saturday afternoon. We had been busy at work all that week, and so here we were unwinding in the living room, having a good time. After my partner received that text, I blindly glanced over to see who the sender was. My heart sunk. It was one of their former employees-a guy I had always suspected.
At that moment, I made a decision that would change the course of our lives. I responded suspiciously and with a bit of jealousy instead of honestly opening up to my partner and having a candid conversation with them. Instead, I found myself accusing them, even though I was determined to help them because I let my emotions dictate how to be. In an instant, everything in the atmosphere changed. It bore a shape of a simplistic discussion debate that quickly grew into an argument, full of defensiveness and accusations.
